Stress and burnout are common symptoms felt from the scale by which we’re living in today’s world. In this workshop, we will discuss factors that contribute to feelings of disconnection and burnout in your life. Next, we will discuss how self-compassion can act as a healing salve, facilitating resilience and meaningful growth in both professional and personal areas of your life.

We will engage in active discussion and draw from your own experiences in order to learn from one another and ensure that these concepts feel applicable to you.

Together, we will learn:

1. What self-compassion is, according to leading experts in the field

2. Misconceptions around self-compassion

3. How self-compassion cultivates growth and resilience

4. Tangible tools to practice self-compassion

 

About the Presenter:

Portia Bajwa (she/her) is a licensed clinical social worker in New York and Washington state. She is the founder of Sansara Counseling and Consulting. She works as a mental health therapist for adult individuals and couples as well as an organizational development consultant. In her clinical work, she specializes in working with BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities and treats issues relating to intergenerational trauma, attachment wounds, anxiety, and relationship dynamics. In her consulting work, Portia partners with organizations committed to creating inclusive and innovative places of work. She utilizes psychology principles to promote connection and trust in the workplace. Her offerings include leadership training, trust-building workshops, and coaching sessions.
